Gannon University, a Catholic university located in Erie, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1925. With an enrollment of over 4,100 students, Gannon offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as internships and co-op job opportunities. Degree programs are administered through the University’s three colleges: the College of Engineering and Business, the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences, and the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences. Students at Gannon University are involved in a variety of campus organizations, community service activities, and athletics.
Nursing Education at Gannon University
The Villa Maria School of Nursing at Gannon University offers BSN, RN to BSN, School Nurse, and MSN programs in four concentrations: Administration, Anesthesia, Medical-Surgical, and Nurse Administration. The Villa Maria School of Nursing is affiliated with more than 40 health care agencies, providing nursing students with clinical experiences in a wide range of settings. All nursing students at Gannon University are involved with the Nursing Center, a health clinic supported by the Housing Authority of the City of Erie and Gannon University. Each year, students and faculty participate in more than 3,000 hours of service-learning.
