The University of Portland, in Portland, Oregon, opened its doors in 1901. A Catholic university affiliated with the Congregation of Holy Cross, the University of Portland serves 3,500 undergraduate and graduate students. The 130-acre campus is home to the College of Arts and Sciences, and the schools of Business Administration, Education, Engineering, and Nursing, as well as the Graduate School. Outside the classroom, University of Portland students participate in 16 intercollegiate sports, and a wide range of clubs and student organizations.


Nursing Education at University of Portland

The School of Nursing at the University of Portland offers undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. The BSN program provides a foundation in the liberal arts and sciences, followed by concentrated study in nursing. An Alternate Entry Master’s program is available for students with a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field. The MSN program is offered in the Clinical Nurse Leader specialization.For students interested in education beyond a master’s degree, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice is also available.
